Yahoo has started shutting down a number of its own digital magazines as the fighting online leader’s latest reorganization strategy.

Yahoo chief executive Marissa Mayer before this month declared “a powerful strategy calling for daring shifts in products and in resources” to help resurrect the business ‘s fortunes.

The strategy calls for a reduction of some 1,500 places. or 15 percent of Yahoo’s global work force

Offices is going to also shut in Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Dubai, Madrid and Milan. Some analysts say the strategy could be the last opportunity of Yahoo the organization might have to unify or sell itself, and to break out of its long recession.

The organization intends to carry on with its plan to separate its core business from its position in Chinese on-line giant Alibaba.

This past year, Yahoo reversed its reorganization strategy for tax reasons, determining keep its position in Alibaba and to spin off core operations.
