Verizon landline strike ends – What official says?

Months after being assured a public hearing with state and Verizon officials over claims of inferior landline care, South Jersey residents are still waiting.

About scheduling the hearing Van Drew has talked with the BPU and Van Drew describes that there was anxiety the continuing strikes would make a hearing challenging.

“We are not going to forget about it and we are not going to allow it to go away.”

Based on the BPU, Verizon representatives and board staff are planning the details of the public hearing.

With the hearing not establish, the time to gather additional charges from residents about their Verizon service is being used by Cumberland County.

Because of the deficiency of fiber optics, rural residents are not able to receive net except for slower DSL connections. The copper lines also have been neglecting due to lack of care, making it hard for residents to complete telephone calls, Baker included.

Hundreds of complaints have gathered about their Verizon service from South Jersey residents and are asking for more — using an internet survey.

Based on Verizon, there’s nothing to be repaired with the landlines of South Jersey.
