New ‘Google’ expansion prevents users from reusing their password

Google has started a brand new Chrome add on that stops users from recycling their Google password on additional websites.

Password Alert, the brand new expansion, will warn users every time they’re going to use their Google password on a website that’s not a Google sign-in page.
The expansion is developed to stop the users from phishing attacks. Many users often fall for phishing attacks that act as if to reveal them a Google login page that’s supposed to steal their passwords. Additionally, utilizing the exact same password over and over again, hackers could get access through one strike to almost all of a user’s on-line accounts.

Although, two step authentication prevents a few of Google’s Security Key and these hacks secures users when preventing phishing but this software is nearly more about teaching users not to recycle their passwords.

Google is open-sourcing this tool as a way to empower programmers to bring it to other browsers.
