Kickass Torrents Dead, Although Online Piracy Maybe Not Be !!
News broke of the domain name being captured and Artem Vaulim, the creator of KickAss Torrents, being detained in Poland, making the site unoperational. In a nutshell, the most precious Torrent Website for people that have piracy close to their hearts has gone dark, and in all likelihood permanently. Also, alternative popular proxies also have been quickly taken down. As of writing this post, the five most popular KAT proxy websites, instead of only the domain names being captured are no longer reachable because of the fact that KAT servers around the world are being taken down, together with the primary site. We’ve seen how before blocking one domain name caused the site to crop back up with a fresh one, so a server-level take down appears to be the only means to set a site into the earth once and for all. But it’s not likely that taking one site down, no matter its popularity, will have the effect the authorities are seeking. When one source goes down, we’ve seen up options crop, KickAss Torrents itself being one of them.
