Hack on the iOS 9 of Apple, bring in $1 million
Computer security company Zerodium has offered a $1 million bounty to hackers who are able to locate ways to break the latest iOS 9 mobile operating system of Apple.
The hackers must use previously unknown weaknesses in the security system.
Apple’s operating system is the most protected in the marketplace, Zerodium said.
“However do not be misled.
Zerodium says for uncovering new applications vulnerabilities, it rewards independent research workers. It then analyses the security information to help corporate and government agency customers to beef up their defences that are on-line.
“The strength of iOS is fundamentally based on layers of security which are individually exposed but incredibly powerful collectively. It’s yet to potential to assault all these components, which is a reasonably long and expensive procedure,” Bekrar told AFP.
Apple hadn’t been consulted about the bounty, he included. Apple, which started iOS 9 on September 16, wasn’t immediately available to comment.
