Google Now on Tap Gets Optical Character Recognition to ‘Read’ Pictures
Google has gently pushed out a brand new attribute to its Google Now on Harness service – optical character recognition (OCR). The search giant also rolled out a little but useful attribute in an upgrade for Google Docs.
Initially seen by some users on Reddit, as it gives different results every time, the OCR attribute on Google Now on Tap appears to be in its very early phases. A lot of the times it will not produce any results whatsoever. All you need to do would be to get an image from the Android 6.0 Marshmallow established device’s camera and only scan it with Google Now on Tap attribute.
The OCR attribute attempted on a Nexus 6P as seen in the pictures above and it worked a few the times. While some Reddit users got the results and scanned a novel and TV information, some scanned phone numbers and were revealed a Google Card because of this. Google is perhaps not encouraging due to the incomplete state and is yet to formally declare the attribute. However, this is a welcome attribute for most Android users.
The file is supported by just about all the e readers in the marketplace except for Amazon Kindle apparatus.Download as>EPUB Publication.|”> The upgrade will slowly reach all users in next three days.
