Facebook users in britain can finally have face to face conversations with family and friends all over the world through the Messenger cellular telephone program.
Unlike with FaceTime, Messenger users can make video calls to some of their contacts using the program on a cell phone, even if one individual is on iOS as well as the other individual is on an Android apparatus.
“Messenger already offers individuals the capacity to make voice calls to friends and nearest and dearest all over the world,” said Facebook’s head of merchandise for Messenger, Stan Chudnovsky, and engineering supervisor, Param Reddy, in a blog post.
“Video calling will enlarge Messenger’s real time communication characteristics, enabling the more than 600 million individuals who use Messenger monthly to achieve others wherever they are, from everywhere.”
Video calling is the newest feature released for Messenger, after Facebook introduced the capacity to send money to friends in March. The money transfer system could take up to three days determined by the banks, and will use bank debit cards of users.
Facebook also recently declared Messenger Platform, which enables third party programs to integrate with Messenger, and Companies on Messenger, that will enable company to interact with customers over Messenger.
