Facebook.com was down for most users, except in a few areas of western Europe, almost four hours after an outage was initially discovered.

Facebook map revealed outages in North America, Europe, Australia and India before on Thursday.

Messenger services and the mobile program seemed to be operating during the outage.

Facebook and its own photo-sharing site Instagram were blocked across the world for approximately an hour on Jan. 27. Facebook attributed an internal error.

The business was unavailable for comment on the most recent outage.
