Facebook to help area malware on computers
Social networking giant Facebook has partnered security applications company Kasperky to help its users find and clean malware from their computers.

Facebook said for the last year, it’s been working with anti-malware businesses like ESET, F Secure and Trend Micro to provide free malware cleaning applications to its users.
“To make this programme even more efficient, Kaspersky Lab is bringing their expertise to our malware cleanup attempts. If we find malware on your own personal computer, we’ll offer Kaspersky Malware Scan for Facebook among our other cleanup tools to help take good care of the problem,” Facebook said in a blogpost.
It included that in the last three months, Kaspersky Lab has helped protect more than 2.6 lakh individuals getting Facebook from malware.

In a different blogpost, the Kate Kochetkova of Kaspersky said Facebook is a leading goal for phishers with one in five phishing scams targetting Facebook tellings.
“For this reason, one needs to be alert when receiving emails from this network, they could be imitation. In addition, there are a lot of Trojans targeting Facebook users too,” she said.
