Android – a Quick Outline

Really, not everybody is interested in porting Android programs into Univeral Programs that run across apparatus on Windows 10.

While Project Islandwood that calls for rewriting iOS programs to be Windows 10 prepared (as Universal Apps) appears to be chugging along just good, Microsoft has declared that its Project Astoria porting application was delayed.

So yes, all the aforementioned does suggest that Microsoft might want to shut it down completely.

Microsoft told that it wasn’t going to move ahead with Project Astoria, but for now it’s not clear whether the firm intends to shut down its Android program businesses completely or just put them.

While Project Astoria was a huge guarantee, the tool wasn’t that amazing, which resulted into poor or poor ports of Android programs. The Project Islandwood tool presents third party program developers as the programs needed to be reworked with a better alternative, but all that attempt didn’t go to waste. The reason being the ensuing programs were of great quality, or ones that took advantage and incorporated nicely with its exceptional UI and Windows 10.

While Microsoft will never find its ecosystem grow as fast as iOS or Android, it’s an uphill struggle, considering that Windows smartphone users form an extremely tiny ball of the mobile ecosystem. Making Windows 10 run across devices (smartphones, tablet computers, desktop computers etc.) was certainly Microsoft’s wildcard to woo in programmers, but even after the launch of Windows 10 for desktop computer, it’s easy to say it hasn’t worked out.
