South African consumers need connectivity

The analysis, which signifies 25-million individuals residing in urban areas of the country, supports their urge to remain participated online, along with the growing demand for a linked lifestyle among customers.
The want to stay linked and upgraded is a powerful motivator for consumers when selecting for a specific internet service. For example, 55% of users of mobile broadband and both WiFi are constantly switching between both links in search of coverage, dependability or better speed.
Magnus Mchunguzi, vice president and MD for Ericsson South Africa remarks: “The ConsumerLab study supports that South Africans are going towards leading a more joined lifestyle with a great adoption of latest cellular apparatus.
Based on the report, 83% of smartphone users use their devices to access the web with 61% needing to stay linked to other web users online when they’re socializing with buddies as well as family face to face, on a daily basis. The requirement to participate in internet activities is revealed in the way consumers use their apparatus when inside or outside.
Included in these are automobiles that are joined, linked house and display use. South Africans need to lead a life that is joined and look to technology to help bridge the difference.
