Sigma and Tecom Designs Introduce Advanced 3G/4G to G.hn Powerline Extender for Next Generation Home Networking
The Tecom HD3011 G.hn powerline MIMO (multiple input, multiple output) adapter, using Sigma’s CG5200 G.hn chipset, additionally functions as wireless extender especially in houses with thick walls or crossing multiple floors.
Sigma’s G.hn chipsets enable an entire self-install home entertainment network for the distribution of multiple 4K video flows and IPTV and information over all power lines, phone lines, and coaxial cables.
“Our cooperation with Sigma Designs permits US to design strong and strong products for G.hn powerline connectivity,” David Chou, Head of Broadband and Wireless business unit for Tecom. “As an outcome, we can supply consumers with excellent technology that allows innovative home networking services and enhances data rates.”
“The G.hn options we’ve developed with Tecom remove sophistication and offer unprecedented convenience with an easy plug-and-play setup, offering major advantages to both consumers and providers. By using all house wiring — electricity, information and telephone — the Sigma G.hn chipsets can successfully and faithfully expand the home network and empower distribution of high-bandwidth services including multiple 4K video streams,” said Nadav Katsir, vice president connectivity business unit of Sigma Designs.
