Google Glass’ evident successor debuts–on the eBay page of a pawn shop
Google seen an eBay auction on Saturday with the easy name of “Google Glass (black),” and the pictures shown an unreleased version that shares obvious similarities with a December FCC filing for a fresh headset–especially new to-“Glass” features like a folding hinge, an external-facing LED light, as well as another billing interface. Moreover, we see the all caps word “GLASS” printed on the interior of the black-plastic hinge, as well as the letter A in particular has an artful slant to it–which makes us question why Google blacked out its Glass-connected social media stations in January. With no evidence from anyone in the Alphabet or Google camps, we can just go on how much the hardware of this pawn shop resembles that in the December FCC filing–significance, if this headset is a hoax, it is an impressive one.
Efforts to get hold of the San Francisco pawn shop in question, A to Z Pawnbrokers, weren’t profitable, as the company isn’t open on Sundays. The Brink also could not get a reply from the store about the sources of the hardware.
We can just imagine just how many rules this totally unannounced headset’s listing breaks since the last version, the Explorer Edition of Glass, was prohibited from resale as a known product.
