Apple has filed domain names associated with cars, adding to the conjecture for their strategies to come up with a vehicle. Or it may simply be a website for the Android Auto rival, Apple CarPlay.
The iPhone manufacturing company filed the domain names, including Apple.automobile, Apple.autos and Apple.vehicle in December, based on domain name information supplier Who.is.
While never admitting strategies to construct an automobile, Apple has been competitive in recruiting vehicle specialists from firms like Ford or Mercedes Benz.
Auto technology is now a prime area of interest for Silicon Valley firms including Google, which has constructed a prototype self-driving car.
