What Wikileaks disclosing about ISPs ?

The TPP, the entire text of that has been printed on the web site for the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade a month after reaching understanding, will control commerce between Australia, America, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Brunei, and Chile.

Section J of the Intellectual Property chapter [PDF] covers ISPs, with Article 18.82(7) saying that member states must enable copyright holders to get the details of alleged copyright infringers through ISPs.

The entire text of the intellectual property chapter ties in with leaks last month from WikiLeaks disclosing that ISPs would have to give up copyright infringer details.

Article 18.74(13) says that judicial powers have the power to order copyright infringers to identify any other individual involved in the alleged infringement, along with the stations they used to get and distribute infringing goods or services.

Under Article 18.82(1)(a), ISPs will be supplied with “legal motivators” to join forces with rights holders on discouraging storage and transmission of copyrighted goods and services.
