Based on another research, companies are employing social networking systems like Social Media Giant Facebook to screen job candidates.

The Facebook profile image changes opportunities of appointment about as much as the image that one adds to the CV, the study in Belgium, from Ghent University, revealed.

When they make their very first choice of the candidates for their vacancies, companies have limited advice. A possible source of info is the social networking website Facebook, the researchers described.

The scientists compared the opportunities of favorable answers for candidates with distinct Facebook profiles just the profile image of the candidates was openly observable.

“The difference in the opportunity to be promptly invited to a job interview even amounted to nearly 40 percent,” he added.
