A fresh program was developed that makes good use of generous volunteers and cameras to help the visually impaired action everyday tasks.
Through a video call that is direct, visually impaired individuals are given the chance to ask a sighted volunteer for assistance, for jobs that needs ordinary eyesight by the program.
The program uses the cameras on a visually impaired user’s smartphone to reveal the sighted man what’s in front of them, ‘CTV News’ reported.
The sighted man subsequently describes in detail merchandise or the item in question to the visually impaired individual over the telephone.
Up to now, there are individuals helping 19,000 visually impaired sighted 230,000 users through the program.
