Microsoft says Windows 10 accessible on July 29
Microsoft Corp said on Monday its new Windows 10 operating system will soon be accessible globally as a free upgrade for users of the latest versions of Windows, on July 29.
The world’s biggest software company had previously said Windows 10 would be released this “summer”.
Touch-friendly Windows 10, which features the return of the Start menu and will run across tablet computers, PCs and smartphones, is Microsoft’s latest effort to gain over comes with and cellular telephone users a fresh browser called ‘Edge’.
It’ll be offered as a free upgrade to users of Windows 7 and 8.1, a strategy declared in January, designed to get as many users as possible.
Microsoft also said new PCs and tablet computers running Windows 10 will go on sale July 29, while Windows 10 for other devices for example smartphones would be available after this year.
