Microsoft certainly will let you know why, and believes you should use Advantage, not Firefox or Chrome

Microsoft has a history of “supporting” their users into using a particular browser, and it is merely the most recent report. A “Learn why” button links to a page full of motives to use Edge.
The Inquirer picked the report up, but added that they weren’t unable to reproduce the results because they are in the UK. That led to a rule that users should be offered many distinct browser choices — a business can not pre-select the default option for you.
A Microsoft representative spoke with VentureBeat and supported the messages, and made a claim for Edge by saying it was “designed only for Windows 10 with characteristics and functionality that enrich the browsing experience.” The representative said the purpose of the banner ad messages, which do not seem every time, is “to provide individuals with fast, simple tips that can help them get to know these encounters better.” But Microsoft says that there’s still the choice to select search engine and another default browser if Edge is not your favorite.
