Google will shortly block Flash content in Chrome

Chrome is now the most famous web browser on the planet, so any decisions it makes with regard to support have significant ramifications.

The firm has confirmed that it intends to press on HTML5 harder with just small Flash support, as the default standard in Chrome. Google calls its new suggestion (via VentureBeat) ‘HTML5 by Default’.

From Q4 of 2016, Flash is only going to function as the default option for the top ten domains that rely on it.

If it is accessible from that point on, Chrome will show HTML5.

This is not a surprising move on the part of Google. The firm has cut the adverse effects of the Flash standard on security and net functionality in several methods over recent years.

Google’s only one one to take this kind of measure either. Both Firefox and Microsoft Edge do the same thing.

Nevertheless, heart Flash content is attacked by this latest move from Google, like videos and games.
