Google Fiber; as a word, “Google” for many has become interchangeable with “the Internet” or at minimum, “to run a search When the Google.com website quit operating for five minutes in August 2013, global Internet action fell by forty percent. Nearly half of Internet users supposed that if Google was down, so also was the Internet. Move into new companies and one of Google’s things would be to try new enterprises: occasionally they do’t and occasionally, these new business ventures operate. Google Fiber, Google’s ISP (internet services supplier) is one example of a company that Google appeared to be dabbling in when found. Nevertheless, Google Fiber is approximately – and even better, it has what it takes to interrupt and dislodge Time Warner, Comcast and the two biggest North American ISPs.

Time Warner and Comcast are amongst the most despised companies in North America now. Between them, the are the two biggest ISPs and have a vice like hold out there. If they have the bulk of customers are they hated so much?

Comcast’s standing within the sector is that they do’t enjoy rivalry, which is why they’ve in the past attempted to purchase Time Warner. What better way to rule a marketplace than purchasing the opposition? Google being the firm with one that regularly encourages politicians to be quiet and sales of around $15 billion. This means it can manage to undercut the competition – this is not going to be a tough undertaking given high costs to Comcast and Time Warner’s. Throw in a high number of customers who apparently would be eager to drop their present ISP for a feasible option and Comcast and Time Warner should be concerned about Google Fiber.

It wo’t be simple for Google: their record in direct customer services isn’t the greatest in the business, which is something the firm would must think carefully around. Turning customers away from Google’s portfolio of services and products would be really bad news. But if a company can interrupt the established North American broadband marketplace, Alphabet’s Google has a distinct, although related, company and the deep pockets to fall back on.
