Google creates robot teddy bears for kids
Teddy bears that mind orders and recognise faces are being worked on by two Google engineers – but some fear they could be more terrifying than cuddly.
The web-connected devices – which would allegedly be component plaything, part futuristic servant – come fitted with mics in cameras and their ears inside their eyes.
They had have the ability to react to voice commands and gestures, and show emotions like surprise, boredom and interest.
It’s the brainchild of Daniel Aminzade and Google engineers Richard DeVaul but the vision has been described by Time Magazine as ‘the most scary playthings you have ever seen’.
