Facebook has added new options to its news feed, together with the goal of assisting individuals make it boring.

The new managements contained “See First”, which lets users pick individuals they would like to hear from more, who’ll subsequently be automatically pushed to the very top of the feed. Additionally they contain tools to help individuals locate simple manners of unfollowing individuals and groups that are not interesting and new pages.

Much of what Facebook selects to reveal in the News Feed is done mechanically, predicated on a mixture of what content they enjoy, read and comment on, and who users socialize with. But the tastes are geared toward giving individuals some control over that process, letting them have additional input into who they need to hear from and do not.

In “see first”, users will select any pages or profiles that they are most interested in from a list. Any posts they have made since users seen the website will subsequently appear with a tiny star demonstrating how they got there, at the top.

An opposite tool enables individuals unfollow or to follow readily, letting them be concealed from the feed but not unfriended.
