Almost half of the nation’s people, about 620 million Chinese, had used mobile phones to access Internet as of the end of 2015, an official report revealed.

Internet coverage growth has helped enhance public services, living standards, and ecommerce.

Based on the report, the amount of people that use mobile payment services, consult with physicians on the internet or receive instruction through the Internet reached 358 million, 110 million and 152 million in 2015.

Also, about 96.6 million Chinese, or one in 14, purchased a cab online in 2015, with most using mobile phones to do thus, the report revealed.

China has 413 million online shoppers. This past year, online shopping attempted for the very first time.
