Can Google Imagine Exactly How Many Calories You Ate at Brunch?
Google could soon make you think twice about snapping a picture of that decadent meal you are going to eat.
The search giant is apparently developing algorithms that examine a picture of food and estimate.
Rather than looking up person foods’ calories and monitoring your consumption, simply snap a picture and the AI of Google identifies what you are eating. It is still a work in progress, however. Im2Calories’ may mistake a clementine for an orange, or your turkey sandwich for ham. A drop-down menu lets users correct errors.
Google didn’t immediately react to the request of PCMag for opinion. However a spokesman told CNET that the algorithms are still being studied, and there are “no real merchandise strategies at this point.”
Im2Calories is intended for self improvement through time, so the more pictures it calories it reveals and procedures, the more precise those amounts will end up.
