Individuals have them show up in their own calendar, advising them of what they should do during the day, and are now able to place reminders in other services like Google Now, Keep and Inbox. Until finished reminders are intended to help individuals take care of what it is that they should do, and certainly will follow users about on top of their calendar.

The feature was initially added to the Google Calendar mobile programs and is currently making an appearance on the desktop computer.

Combining that capacity across platforms may help bring more people into utilizing the system, which competes with an entire lot of other offerings, including Microsoft-owned Wunderlist, Outlook, and Apple’s Reminders app on iOS and the Mac.

The move is particularly helpful for Google’s competitive opportunities against Microsoft Outlook, which has builtin support for reminders, alongside users’ calendar and e-mail info.
