Google cracks down on phishing attacks

Google has found a fresh anti-phishing tool which alarm each time to the user their password is typed into a non-Google website.
Password Alert is a Chrome extension made to boost consciousness when a possibility phishing attack is trying to go into a Google password in a non-Google website, in turn deterring users from using the exact same password for multiple websites
The extension may be downloaded from the Chrome Web Store, and once picked it requests the user to consent to Password Alert reading and altering all a user’s information on sites that were seen, and understanding their preferred email address.
It operates by assessing the HTML of every page you visit to see if it is impersonating a Google sign-in page.
Approximately 2 per cent of e-mails sent to Gmail accounts are efforts to deceive the account holder into disclosing their password, based on Google.
Password Alert is the firm’s latest attempt to enhance account security, and comes in the aftermath of two step confirmation, which prompts users to secure their accounts a password and cell phone confirmation, and Security Key, which reinforces the former with the inclusion of a physical USB key.
Once indoors, seek out other account details including bank and social networking accounts, hackers often modify the password of the account, and make an effort to trick other email addresses.
