The Chinese military is investing a tremendous amount of resources into developing defensive cyber abilities and its attacking, considering them to be the secret to assuming “info dominance” in the early phases of any future battle, based on a brand new US government report.

The Communist Party considers China’s cyber abilities lag those in competing states so it’s ploughed significant resources into developing them.

“info dominance” is viewed by it to efficiently winning a military battle in its early phases as an integral strategy.

The report described:

Chinese military writings describe informationized warfare as an asymmetric means to de-escalate an opponent’s skill to compel an opponent to capitulate before the start of disagreement.” and to obtain, transmit, procedure, and use tips during war

Cyber warfare abilities help China in three places, the DoD continued:

“First and foremost, they enable the PLA to gather data for intelligence and possible attacking cyberoperations (OCO) functions. They can function as a force multiplier when coupled with kinetic strikes during times of disagreement or disaster.”

“Targeted advice could educate Chinese military planners’ work to develop an image of US defense networks, logistics, and associated military capabilities that could be used during a disaster. Abilities and the obtains needed for these intrusions are not dissimilar to those needed to run cyberattacks.”

China has naturally responded strongly to the report, “by choice distorted” Beijing’s military policy and asserting it’s undermined trust between both superpowers.
