New cloud access security vendor provides the security that is full stack, with options from 60 top vendors
Most organizations that manage their own data center have assembled a complete collection of security options in their surroundings. Suffice it to say that the great stuff in and advice passing in and out of the private data center, along with nearly every user activity, is scrutinized in numerous methods to maintain outside the bad things.
In the standard data center, businesses possess the capacity to apply levels of privacy, security and compliance programs around their information. When they would like to transfer information and their programs to the cloud, there’s this issue of how exactly to apply those levels. Many cloud-based programs do not natively have the kinds of controls that businesses must have, so businesses are left to supply those controls for themselves.
This challenge gave birth several years back to the marketplace called cloud access security brokerages. CASB options generally serve two functions. They help businesses find exactly what cloud programs their workers are employing. They add a number of the privacy, security and compliance controls that organizations must have around their information.
The CASB marketplace growing and has been maturing over recent years. Avanan’s major differentiator is the fact that it provides the complete security pack that contains best-of-breed solutions from more than 60 top vendors, including FireEye McAfee, Symantec, CheckPoint and tons of other security firms. This gives businesses the flexibility to use the exact controls they want for their SaaS programs.
Another differentiator for Avanan is that it does not use the proxy model, where businesses must drive on all their cloud-bound traffic through a gateway that is particular to get the advantages of the security options.
Now Avanan supports Box Google Drive, Office 365, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Dropbox and Workday, and more programs are on the way.
