Dropbox is shutting down Carousel programs, Mail Box
The program for handling e-mail on iOS purchased over by Dropbox in December 2013 and started in February 2013, mail Box, is shutting down.
Dropbox declared that it is going to be closing down a program it purchased for $100 million with the Carousel program, Mailbox. Carousel was the photograph, video gallery program started by Dropbox.
The thought with Mail Box was to fix e-mail and introduce ‘zero e-mail’, which remains a distant dream for a number people.
Dropbox’s team wrote on their website, “Constructing new products is around learning as much as it is around making. It is also about demanding choices. Over recent months, we have raised the focus of our team on cooperation and simplifying the way individuals work collectively.
The Mail Box team in different place wrote that they have realised, “there is just so much an e-mail program can do to simply fix e-mail. We have come to consider the most effective method of all of us to enhance people’s productivity going forward will be to streamline the workflows that create as much e-mail in the very first place.”
