A fresh form of wireless web technology was developed that could supply a link that is 100 times quicker than conventional WiFi.
An Estonian start-up is called LiFi, and examined the technology called Velmenni, who are now trialling it in offices.
LiFi has proved capable of sending information at rates of up to 1GBps, approximately 100 times quicker than most present Wifi connections.
At speeds in this way, records, high definition movies and video games may be downloaded in an issue of seconds.
Nevertheless, this makes the network a lot more protected. The drastically increased rates make it a huge improvement on present technology for a number of programs too.
CEO of Velmenni, Deepak Solanki, told the Interational Business Times the technology may be rolled out to consumers within the following three to four years.
Nevertheless, due to the restrictions of LiFi, it will not be unlikely to run in parallel with present technology to raise the speed and efficacy of a network.

As Professor Haas proposed in an 2011 TED Chat, but in case the infastructure catches up, LiFi could become a lot more extensively used, particularly when it is transmitted through our lightbulbs.
As Haas said, “All we have to do is fit a tiny microchip to each possible illumination apparatus , which would then join two fundamental functionalities: illumination and wireless data transmission.”
