The notice said the attackers might have been attempting to get information including “email addresses, IP addresses, and phone numbers.”

@coldhakca, Coldhak’s Twitter accounts, retweeted reports from several other users who said they received the notice. The other users as well as Coldhak didn’t indicate the reason why they might have been singled out.

Facebook and Google also have began issuing warnings to users potentially targeted by state-sponsored attacks.
